Hello and welcome! I’m Viv, a registered midwife and a mom of two lively (yes this is a very PC version for cheeky) kids—a 10-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy. Yes, that’s right, my kids are practically a 1,5 year apart, so I know a thing or two about the whirlwind of having little ones close in age. If you’re ever looking for a firsthand expert on surviving the chaos of young kids, you’ve found her!

A Journey Through Hungary.
I became a midwife five years ago in Hungary and brought my skills to the UK three years ago. My day-to-day work mostly involves hanging out in the community, helping new parents get their footing with their newborns. And let me tell you, I’ve seen it all—especially how the NHS staffing crisis means that midwives and healthcare assistants often run out of time to cover all the basics, like nappy changes, baby baths, and those essential parenting tricks (not to mention grabbing a meal or using the toilet).
I’ve also noticed that even the best antenatal classes often focus more on labour and birth, leaving many parents feeling a bit lost when it comes to hands-on baby care. That’s where I come in! My mission and passion is to fill in these gaps and make sure that you not just surviving but thriving with your new baby. My goal is for you to handle your little one (no matter how tiny) with the same confidence and ease that I do.

Midwife Viv
Oh, and if you’ve made it this far, let me share a bit more about me—after all, this is the “About Me” page! I’m a big fan of reading, crocheting, and arcading. Love visiting museums and learning about the human body or discovering new things (except IT—that’s a whole different kind of code I can’t crack!).
Before diving into midwifery, I worked in the medical equipment industry.
At home, I enjoy playing board games with my kids, though they’d probably tell you I’m more enthusiastic about reminding them to clean their rooms.
I hate spiders, wet hair on the floor, or tiles and sinks, well basically everywhere (honestly, don’t ask—I have no idea why!).
I can only drink cold beverages, which is a bit of a challenge in the home of tea. But as a midwife and mum, I rarely get to drink it while it’s hot, so works out well.
One thing I can promise is that I’m very down-to-earth and easy to talk to. There’s no such thing as a silly question or topic that we can’t discuss here. Join my courses, become the member of my WhatsApp group, and keep an eye on my website for more exciting services coming soon! 😊
