Description
Most people spend more time researching their pram than learning how to actually care for a newborn. Then the baby arrives.
Baby Bootcamp is a face-to-face newborn care course for parents and couples who want hands-on experience, real answers, and a group of people going through the exact same thing alongside them. First baby, fourth baby, doesn’t matter – if you want the knowledge and the confidence, this is for you.
Led by Viv, a registered midwife and mum of two, across 4 weekly sessions with a maximum of 4 parents or couples. Small by design. Big on content.
What is covered
15 practical topics including nappy changing, bathing, breastfeeding, bottle feeding, hand expressing, winding, swaddling, safe sleeping, co-sleeping, dressing, eye care, nail care, mouth care, nose care, picking up and holding, and car seat safety.
17 theoretical topics including jaundice, newborn skin conditions, cord care, newborn reflexes and breathing, hormonal changes in baby, vitamin D and K, safe sleep guidance, oral thrush, fontanelles, tummy problems, dummies, formula and EBM safety, screening and vaccinations, ICON, and what to expect from yourself after birth including baby blues.
